JOB DETAILS:
Education Officer

JOB PURPOSE
Fulfill activities as per the Trust’s strategic plan; to influence attitude change through chimpanzee conservation awareness and education.

 Specific Duties
• Design education programs for target groups
• Implement environmental education and community programs
• Evaluate all education and community programs
• Mobilize resources for funding education and community activities, including sourcing for grants, and generating income for projects through investigating and bidding for external funding.
• Participate in fundraising and promotional events
• Engage partners to promote to implement Chimpanzee Trusts’ Environmental Education programs and activities.
• Update a database of activities and services for all education and community activities and programs.

Other duties
• Encouraging and influencing the development of new learning opportunities through formal and informal classes as well as individual tutoring and mentoring.
• Allocating and monitoring budgets for education grants.
• Undertaking the administration and evaluation of provision and reporting to advisory bodies and management groups.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of programs and writing reports for the projects under your jurisdiction.
• Perform any and all other duties assigned to you by your supervisors and superiors as may be deemed necessary.
