Kiwoko Hospital is a Private Not-for-Profit Organization under the Church of Uganda, located in the district of Nakaseke (Greater Luwero) and affiliated to the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB). The hospital is seeking to strengthen its staffing position in order to efficiently execute its medical services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receiving patients and registering admissions, discharges, and deaths.
  • Participating in primary health care activities.
  • Participating in bedside nursing procedures as a member of the caring team.
  • Participating in Doctor/Clinical Officer's ward rounds.
  • Observing and compiling daily ward reports for the attention of the relevant authorities.
  • Managing and accounting for allocated resources.
  • Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the patients.
  • Ordering and receiving drugs from the pharmacy and administering drugs to patients.
  • Taking actions to improve performance and ensure success.
  • Preparing patients for operations.
  • Supervising junior staff.
  • Taking observations and laboratory specimen samples from patients.
  • Adhering to professional codes of conduct and ethics.
  • Teaching student nurses/midwives.
  • Preparing patients for referral.
  • Discharging any other duties assigned by the In-charge.

  • Teach student nurses/midwives.
  • Prepare patients for referral
  • Discharge of any other duty assigned by the In-charge.
