Background information about the job or company

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support the operations of an organisation dedicated to land administration and management in Uganda.

Preferred Profile:

  • Female candidate, aged 27–37 (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of land tenure, land rights, or land administration issues in Uganda.
  • Tech-savvy: proficient in MS Office, virtual meeting platforms, and digital scheduling/document tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Discreet, professional, and able to manage sensitive information.

Responsibilities or duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the executive's calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, reports, and briefing notes.
  • Coordinate with government offices, partners, and stakeholders on land-related matters.
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items for meetings.
  • Organize and maintain project files, records, and documentation.
  • Support logistics for field visits, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Conduct basic research and compile briefing materials on land policy matters.
  • Manage incoming communications and prioritize requests.

Qualifications or requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Law, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related).

Experience needed

  • 3+ years' experience in an executive assistant or similar administrative role.
  • Familiarity with Uganda's land governance context is an added advantage.
  • Manage the executive's calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements.
