JOB DETAILS:

Job summary:
The role will provide support in planning and implementation of all activities of the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement project in areas of field level support, monitoring and evaluation, production of regular progress reports, field visits, build linkages with IP’s and stakeholders, coordination of capacity building and development initiatives in line with AHA strategic objectives and donor guidelines. The position holder is expected to have deeper understanding of community development, social behaviour change programming and community mobilisation, conducting community needs assessment, problem tree and stakeholders’ analysis

Responsibilities:
• Review project reports and ensure they meet the required standard and identify existing gaps in the communities through reviewing the progress and monitoring reports.
• Participate, support and accompany the Medical and Operations Manager or Public Health Coordinator during visits of potential donors to assess Communities and their capacity needs.
• Prepare a variety of documents (e.g. correspondence, agendas, minutes, event programs, bulletins, success stories, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information and/or creating documentation in compliance with established AHA and donor procedures.
• Provide support to the Program Management Team (PMT) including participation and assistance to preparation and conducting of project meetings, budget reviews and other relevant events.
• Collect, analyse and present information for identification of areas of support and trainings in project formulation and implementation.
• Support the Public Health Coordinator to establish effective mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation of the project implementation.
• Initiate trainings for staff in thematic programme/project areas.
• Liaise with a full range of relevant professionals in social work, health, education and voluntary agencies, in order to co-ordinate services for families and to raise community awareness.
• Participate in brainstorming with the project and Senior Management team in Concept Paper and proposal development.
• Arrange regular monitoring sessions with the project teams and contribute to processes to measure, learn from and improve impact.
• Carry out any other duties as required by the supervisor

Minimal Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player with community project experience. Detail orientation, problem-solving and a passion for humanitarian service.
• A bachelor’s degree in development studies, project planning, project management and M&E are highly encouraged to apply.
• Additionally, knowledge of software packages such as google workspace and Microsoft office application is an added advantage
