Rikolto is recruiting Field Facilitators (4) to support the implementation of the SAFE-CSA Uganda project, strengthening climate-smart, regenerative and deforestation-free coffee production at cooperative and community level.
Responsibilities or duties
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Field Facilitator will:
- Support the delivery of Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) trainings in collaboration with Community-Based Trainers (CBTs) and cooperatives;
- Support the establishment, follow-up and use of CSA demonstration plots;
- Strengthen the capacities of CBTs and cooperative technical teams through coaching and on-the-job support;
- Contribute to regenerative soil management activities, including soil testing, biochar demonstrations and agroforestry actions;
- Integrate gender and youth approaches, including the GALS methodology, and support the strengthening of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs);
- Support cooperatives and MSMEs in market readiness, traceability and compliance with EUDR requirements;
- Ensure the collection and reporting of field-level data in line with the project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework;
- Contribute to documentation of results, lessons learned and good practices.
Collaboration and supervision
The Field Facilitator reports to the Project Manager and works in close collaboration with the MEL team, cooperatives, Community-Based Trainers, MSMEs and local stakeholders.
