Background:
Rikolto in East Africa is part of the Rikolto network, an international NGO with over 40 years of experience working with farmer organizations and food system actors across Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Rikolto contributes to building dynamic, sustainable, and inclusive agricultural sectors where family farmers produce quality food for their own consumption and for diverse markets — national, regional, and international.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure sound financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the three countries.
- Safeguard the accuracy and consistency of financial information.
- Guarantee compliance with accounting standards and donor requirements.
- Deliver timely and high-quality financial reports for management and partners.
- Supervise and build the capacity of country finance teams to strengthen financial management systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is an added advantage).
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent chartered certification (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting — ideally in an international NGO or regional setup.
Experience:
Proven experience with multi-donor, multi-country financial reporting and audit coordination.
Other Details:
Dynamic, emotionally stable, diplomatic, rigorous, team-oriented, tactful, and highly responsible with a strong sense of confidentiality.
