The Front-End Developer will design, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, accessible, and high-performing enterprise web applications, primarily using Angular and TypeScript. The role requires strong hands-on Angular development experience across reusable components, state management, API integration, automated testing, accessibility, debugging, and performance optimisation. Experience with Next.js, React, and Backend-for-Frontend development is an added advantage but is not required.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise web applications using Angular and TypeScript.

  • Create reusable Angular components, services, directives, pipes, shared libraries, and design-system elements.
  • Translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible, cross-browser, and maintainable user interfaces.
  • Implement application state management using NgRx, signals-based stores, RxJS, or other suitable approaches.
  • Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, authentication and authorisation services, microservices, content-management systems, and third-party platforms.
  • Implement appropriate rendering, data-fetching, caching, error-handling, and client-side storage strategies.
  • Optimise application performance through lazy loading, code splitting, bundle analysis, caching, image optimisation, and efficient change detection.
  • Develop and maintain unit, integration, component, and end-to-end tests using tools such as Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Diagnose and resolve defects involving application state, rendering, routing, API integration, browser compatibility, and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, secure, testable, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams throughout development, deployment, and production support.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Relevant professional certifications in front-end development, cloud technologies, or software engineering are an added advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of strong professional experience developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Advanced Angular skills, including RxJS, signals, reactive forms, routing, dependency injection, reusable component development, state management, and performance optimisation.
  • Solid experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs, authentication and authorisation services, microservices, and enterprise platforms.
  • Proven experience with automated testing, responsive design, WCAG accessibility standards, cross-browser compatibility, and secure front-end development practices.
  • Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, debugging, observability, deployment processes, and production support, supported by strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Preferred / Advantageous (Not Required)

  • Experience with Next.js and React, including the App Router, React Server Components, server actions, route handlers, middleware, server-side rendering, static generation, and caching.
  • Experience developing Backend-for-Frontend services using Next.js, Node.js, or similar technologies, including API aggregation, data transformation, caching, authentication, and authorisation.
  • • Familiarity with design-system tooling such as Storybook and design tokens, and monorepo tooling such as Nx or Turborepo.
  • • Experience integrating applications with payment platforms and other enterprise third-party systems.
