Description

Yalelo Uganda is hiring a General Worker-Feed Logistics responsible for assisting to handle feed out of feed warehouse and providing an accurate delivery of feed to the feed platforms at nursery and grow out sites on the Lake.

Report to:

Feed Logistics Supervisor

Department:

Lake Operations

Grade:

GW

KEY DUTIES

• Loading and offloading feed and other logistics on and off the boat respectively for dispatch.
• Mortality collection and disposal.
• Washing and disinfecting of mortality buckets.
• Organizing of empty feed bags to be taken back on Land.
• Maintain a neat and tidy work area.
• Ensure that stacking of feeds must always be neat and easy to count.
• Participating in offloading of feed trucks arriving on site.
• Adhere to the company’s health and safety policies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of Uganda Certificate of Education
• Ability to swim and be comfortable on water.
• Ability to solve and do simple math calculations.
• Must be hardworking and adaptable.
• Good Communication skills including reading and writing.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Hardworking, capable of being involved in farming operations
• Should be honest
• Must be able to work in a team environment and interact well with others
