Engineering Ministries International (EMI) Uganda is seeking to recruit a Graduate Architect to join our diverse, multi-disciplinary team in Kajjansi as we seek to partner with God to bring restoration to the world through design and construction. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong desire to walk in step with Jesus, to collaborate, and to learn.

Required qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• Practical architecture experience (2+ years preferred)
• USA Graduate Member (preferred)

• High integrity and ethics
• Ability to manage work schedule with deadlines.
• Ability to initiate and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with other disciplines
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Cross-cultural team player
• Desire to learn and grow

Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform architectural design and drafting on projects as requested
• Provide architectural review on projects as requested
• Produce reports and calculations related to the engineering design and constructability of projects.
• Encourage and direct interns in architecture
• Respond to construction administration questions from our field construction teams related to architecture.
• Assist in the coordination of design efforts across disciplines.
• Document and regularly self-assess professional development to ensure that national registration requirements are met or exceeded.
