About Premier Credit Uganda
Premier Credit Uganda is a fast-growing credit-only microfinance institution committed to empowering individuals and businesses through innovative, flexible, and responsible financial solutions. As part of our ambitious growth agenda, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to spearhead the expansion of our Personal Loan Product portfolio, with a special focus on private sector employees, public service staff, NGO professionals etc.

Role Purpose
The Head of Personal Loan Product will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing strategies to grow and optimise our personal loans segment. This includes acquisition of high-value customers, product innovation, risk control, and ensuring strong portfolio quality. The ideal candidate will combine sharp commercial acumen with deep market knowledge to deliver aggressive growth while maintaining sound credit discipline.

Key Responsibilities
• Market Growth & Penetration
o Drive acquisition of personal loan clients from private companies, NGOs, public service institutions segment.
o Build and maintain strategic partnerships with employers, car dealers, motor vehicle associations, and industry networks.
• Product Development & Management
o Design and refine loan products tailored to target segments, ensuring competitive pricing, features, and turnaround times.
o Develop marketing campaigns and sales activation plans to boost uptake.
• Portfolio Quality & Risk Management
o Implement strong credit assessment criteria and early warning systems to maintain portfolio health.
o Collaborate with the Risk & Collections teams to ensure proactive delinquency management.
• Sales Leadership
o Lead, train, and motivate a network of loan officers and relationship managers to achieve monthly acquisition and disbursement targets.
o Introduce performance-based incentives and monitoring dashboards to enhance productivity.
• Market Intelligence
o Track industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to guide product positioning.
• Operational Excellence
o Ensure smooth, efficient, and customer-friendly loan origination processes.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Adminstation or Sales & Marketing
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail lending, preferably with a focus on vehiclesecured loans or personal loans.
• Proven track record in product growth, sales leadership, and portfolio management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, especially with institutional clients and employers.
• Analytical, target-driven, and comfortable with high-performance environments.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Sound understanding of credit risk principles and compliance requirements.
