Key Result Areas
- Facilitate shop floor recruitment, performance appraisals, confirmations, promotions, and manpower optimization.
- Support training, employee relations, and welfare initiatives to enhance employee engagement and discipline.
- Manage daily staff attendance, shift schedules, leave records, and overtime while ensuring accuracy in payroll data.
- Liaise with the Payroll Advisor to reconcile attendance reports, rectify discrepancies, and handle absenteeism cases.
- Ensure compliance with PPE, workplace safety, and plant HR policies through regular checks and sensitization.
- Handle employee inquiries, welfare requests, and minor disciplinary matters at the plant.
- Prepare weekly and monthly HR reports on attendance, manpower, and productivity for management
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven HR experience in a manufacturing/plant-based environment.
Skills & Professional Attributes Required
- Hands-on experience with SAP HR modules and payroll processing is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Uganda labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and record management skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced plant environment.
