We are sourcing for suitably qualified professionals to assign to our Client to fill the job of Human Resource Manager.
HR Strategy & Planning
• Align HR operations with business goals and factory production targets.
• Develop and implement HR plans that support employee engagement,
performance, and compliance.
• Advise leadership on workforce planning and people-related matters.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
• Oversee end-to-end recruitment for factory and administrative roles.
• Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs.
• Ensure smooth onboarding and orientation of new hires.
Employee Relations & Engagement
• Foster a positive industrial relations climate through effective employee
communication and conflict resolution.
• Serve as the key liaison between management and employees/unions.
• Manage disciplinary processes and grievances in accordance with labor law.
Performance Management
• Implement and oversee the performance appraisal system and KPIs aligned with
operational targets.
• Support department heads in identifying training and development needs based on
performance gaps.
• Promote a performance-driven culture within the factory.
Training & Development
• Design and coordinate training programs to upskill the workforce in compliance,
safety, and technical capacity.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory training requirements (e.g., health
& safety)
Compensation & Benefits
• Work with Finance to manage payroll accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
• Ensure fair and competitive remuneration aligned with market trends and internal
equity.
• Administer employee benefits and statutory deductions (NSSF, PAYE, etc.).
Compliance & Policy Enforcement
• Ensure adherence to Ugandan labor laws and company policies.
• Regularly review and update HR manuals and SOPs.
• Maintain complete, updated employee records and reports. 8. Health, Safety &
Welfare
• Collaborate with HSE officers to implement occupational health and safety
programs.
• Promote employee welfare initiatives and well-being at the workplace.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology,
Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or factory setting, with at
least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven knowledge of Ugandan labor laws and HR best practices.
• Strong background in industrial relations, especially within unionized environments.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems, HRIS, and reporting tools
