JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary: The objective of this post is to facilitate the transportation POCS, Luggage, staff etc and any other tasks assigned.
Detail Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that the number of passengers does not exceed the number of fitted seatbelts.
• Ensure Security and safety in line with UNHCR guidelines
• Ensure effective transportation of refugees as may be directed.
• Understand and reports to supervisor as any need arise.
• Providing the operations/fleet Manager with all information and documents concerning fuel taken, both in Kampala and the field & ensuring that the fuel tank is not tampered with at any one time.
•Ensuring that fuel issued to their respective vehicles is properly used and controlled.
• Ensuring that all required documents are present and in good order (i.e. copies of logbooks, road
• license, insurance, driver's license).
• Assisting the Operations/fleet Manager in the keeping of computerized records in the transport department as may be required.
• Ensuring the vehicle always has a correctly functioning fire extinguisher and a properly equipped first aid kit.
Job Qualifications:
• Uganda Certificate of Education
• Ability to read and write
• The candidate should be self-motivated
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to travel to any part of the country
• Ability to work for long hours
• Valid Driving license with cases B, CM.
• Ability to drive heavy duty Trucks is an added advantage

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of honesty and Integrity
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
