Purpose of the role

The Loan Consultant reports to the Branch Manager. You are the face of Unifi, the first person our clients meet and the reason they come back. This isn’t just about processing loans. It’s about making life easy, building trust, and treating every client with dignity from the moment they walk through our doors. You drive targets, and make every interaction a chance to win.

Responsibilities

  • Handle cash and client records responsibly and with integrity
  • Drive branch performance by taking ownership of targets and bringing a “let’s get it done” energy to every day
  • Support collections by following up with clients on outstanding accounts and helping find repayment solutions that work
  • Work as one team to keep the branch clean, organised, and operating to the Unifi standard
  • Contribute to a positive, and high-performing branch vibe
  • Speak up when something is not working and share practical feedback to improve how we operate
  • Live the Unifi values in every interaction by treating people with dignity, communicating clearly and doing what you say you will do

Requirements

  • A certificate, diploma, or degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related commercial field is advantageous
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing, sales or retail environment
  • Comfortable with basic financial and credit concepts
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
  • A client-first mindset. You help people with care, urgency, and dignity
  • Calm, patient, and practical when things get busy with a "let's get it done" attitude
  • Target-driven and hungry to grow. You hold yourself to a higher standard
  • Self-organised, reliable, and able to manage your own workload
  • Comfortable following set processes and systems accurately
