JOB DETAILS:

To provide strategic and tactical direction in all ICT-related matters to enable the Authority to leverage technology effectively in achieving its mission, vision, and strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of the ICT strategy.
2. Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of PPDA’s enterprise information systems and databases.
3. Supervise upgrades, integrations, and user support for key platforms.
4. Implement robust cybersecurity protocols, backup systems, and disaster recovery plans to protect institutional data and systems.
5. Participate in the procurement of ICT hardware, software, and services in accordance with PPDA regulations.
6. Build ICT capacity across the institution through user training, guidelines, and awareness programs.
7. Oversee the planning, installation, and maintenance of the organization’s ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and communication systems.
8. Monitor trends in ICT and public sector digital innovation, recommending and implementing new technologies to enhance efficiency.
9. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the IT unit to ensure stakeholder expectations are met and professional growth is achieved.
10. Review and maintain the Authority’s ICT infrastructure (software and hardware) to ensure it functions effectively and meets stakeholder expectations.
11. Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Education

1. A Bachelor’s Degree with honours in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Business Computing, or a related field.
2. A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Business Computing, or a related field.

Experience

1. Seven (7) years of experience in managing, troubleshooting, and securing standard user software solutions in busy work environments, with at least three (3) years at a Senior Officer level.
2. Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, PMP, ITIL, or Microsoft/Cisco certifications are an added advantage.
3. Experience in managing, troubleshooting, and securing custom software solutions in busy work environments.
4. Experience in managing, troubleshooting, and securing ICT server infrastructure solutions in busy work environments.
5. Experience managing IT teams and supervising complex IT projects.
6. Experience in designing, implementing, and documenting enterprise ICT security solutions.
7. Experience in designing, implementing, and documenting enterprise disaster recovery solutions.
8. Experience in designing, implementing, and documenting ICT strategies and policies.
