Description
Lapaire is hiring a Marketing Executive to actively participate in strengthening the Lapaire brand and growing its awareness in its territory (Uganda) by executing the group’s multi-channel marketing strategy and actively contributing to the marketing plan. He/she will report to the Retail Marketing Manager and the Country Operations Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand the marketing plan and share ideas for marketing projects that correspond to Lapaire’s target and objectives in Uganda
- Sourcing local partners and service providers (printers, advertising agencies, radio, TV, etc.) and negotiating the best rates
- Developing marketing materials
- Briefing sales teams on campaigns in collaboration with the Operations Manager
- Sourcing and managing local influencers representing the Lapaire brand
- Contribute actively in developing a winning marketing strategy for Uganda
- Execute the marketing strategy, including offline marketing activities, building and strengthening brand partnerships, improving marketing mix and customer experience
- Participate in growing Lapaire’s community across all digital platforms
- Provide advanced reporting on marketing activities led in Uganda.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Brand Management
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Communications
- At least 2 years of successful experience in a similar position, in an agency or corporate environment
- You have significant experience in Marketing and PR project management and can adapt in an always changing environment
- You have an excellent command of digital tools
Personal Skills required to succeed in this role
- Organized, Rigorous: you don’t get lost in between projects and always know where you stand in your tasks
- Passionate: you are a marketer at heart and always keep up to date on new trends
- Negotiative and persuasive: You know how to convince your suppliers, with integrity
- Social: You are able to build and maintain relationships

- Motivated: you like new challenges and are always looking to surpass yourself
- Adaptable and reactive: you know how to deal with any change and make corrections to your projects
- Good presentation skills: you know how to communicate on your projects and mobilize others collaborators
The starting gross salary budget the role is UGX. 1,500,000 with a performance-based bonus of up to UGX. 300,000, plus transportation & telecommunication allowance.
