About the Role
The International University of East Africa (IUEA) is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven professional to serve as Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will lead the University’s strategic marketing, branding, and student recruitment initiatives to enhance institutional visibility and drive sustainable enrolment growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and implement strategic marketing and promotional campaigns for the University.
- Design and produce high-quality promotional materials and branding content for internal and external audiences.
- Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns including advertising, direct mail, newsletters, digital media, and outreach programs.
- Develop and maintain a robust marketing information system including market statistics, competitor analysis, and target audience insights.
- Build and manage a comprehensive database of students, agents, and institutional contacts for CRM and recruitment purposes.
- Represent the University at conferences, exhibitions, international events, and agent engagements to promote academic programmes.
- Develop and manage an annual marketing calendar aligned with institutional goals and recruitment cycles.
- Oversee quarterly marketing budgets to ensure cost-effective and impactful campaigns.
- Prepare regular performance and marketing reports to support management decision-making.
- Coordinate timely communication campaigns for all academic programmes to optimize student recruitment pipelines.
- Undertake regional and international marketing trips to strengthen partnerships and recruitment networks.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Desirable)
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration is an added advantage
- Minimum of 05 years’ experience in a senior or supervisory marketing/management role (Essential)
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, promotions, or business development (Desirable)
- Experience in an educational or institutional setting is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of digital and integrated marketing trends
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills (Essential)
- Strong ICT skills (Essential)
- Experience in CRM and ERP systems (Desirable)
- Knowledge of graphic design and marketing content development (Desirable)
- Ability to organize and manage meetings and strategic engagements
- Strong analytical and reporting skills

- Student recruitment targets achieved
- Brand visibility and institutional positioning
- Marketing campaign effectiveness
- Budget efficiency and ROI on marketing spend
- Growth of strategic partnerships and agent networks
Communication and Reporting Structure
The role interfaces with:
- The Vice Chancellor
- Management Board
- Internal departments and external stakeholders
