Description
Mota-Engil is hiring a Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance responsible for executing maintenance control activities for heavy equipment and machinery within the project workshop. This includes planning, implementing, and monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and performance.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor maintenance control systems to ensure consistent performance and availability of heavy equipment.
- Carry out equipment inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance as per service schedules.
- Manage maintenance records and track equipment history.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with established maintenance plans.
- Analyze breakdown trends and recommend solutions to improve equipment reliability.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of all maintenance activities, including parts used and time spent.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores teams for timely availability of spare parts and consumables.
- Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and reduce equipment downtime.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Equipment Manager.
Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance of heavy equipment, with a strong focus on maintenance controls.
- Proficient in SAP and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Strong technical and analytical skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems.
- Experience in the automotive, construction, or heavy machinery sector is required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
