Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Mechanical Engineer for one of our clients COSL UGANDA-SMC LIMITED to work in the Kingfisher oilfield.

Job summary:
• The Mechanical Engineer will be rresponsible for overall mechanical equipment maintenance and repair of land drilling rig
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance plans are carried out according to equipment maintenance procedures in accordance with maintenance policies and schedules within specified time frames;
• Participate in training and coaching of mechanics and other maintenance personnel.
• Familiar with the performance and characteristics of related equipment, able to upgrade it.

Key Roles and responsibilities
• Responsible for the management of documents such as drilling rig mechanical equipment information, certificates, maintenance reports, etc., and establish a ledger and track the mechanical equipment of land drilling rigs.
• Strictly implement the PMS system, maintain the equipment according to the maintenance procedures, and make various maintenance records.
• Responsible for formulating mechanical equipment maintenance plans, maintenance plans and their implementation and acceptance.
• Responsible for the analysis and processing of mechanical equipment failures of drilling rigs.
• Responsible for daily routine inspection and closed-loop management of hidden dangers found.
• Responsible for the training of machinery equipment.
• Be responsible for shift handover, which mainly includes: main work contents of the shift, equipment problems and measures taken, rectification of remaining work, team construction, ordering and incoming materials, and appropriate reasonable suggestions.
• Be responsible for monthly inspection of equipment and facilities.
• Draw up the order plan according to the inventory of equipment parts and materials.
• Know the structure and working principle of the equipment in charge, be familiar with its performance and characteristics, and be able to upgrade and transform it to meet different operational requirements.
• As the master of Chief Motor Man (select those with outstanding performance in Motor Man to be promoted to Chief Motor Man), personally teach relevant operations and techniques one-on-one, and lead Chief Motor Man to complete drilling and completion operations and ensure the normal operation of equipment. In the first year, the skilled operation and maintenance of the equipment in charge will be taught. In the second year, the drawing identification and application of the equipment in charge will be taught. In the third year, the equipment testing process and standards will be taught; In the fourth year, he will teach the fault judgment and maintenance of the equipment he is responsible for; in the four years, he will ensure that the Chief Motor Man (Ugandan) can independently operate and maintain related equipment, and is fully qualified for the position of Chief Motor Man

Mandatory Requirements
Education:
• College degree or above
• Experience in mechanical management or similar work, able to solve complex drilling machine problems;

Experience:
• At least 3 years working experience in maintenance and management of drilling machine and turbine equipment
• Handled the failure of key equipment of drilling rig for more than 3 times

Knowledge:
• Integrity, good conduct, honesty and self-discipline.

Capability
• Have strong coordination ability, execution ability, communication ability, language expression ability.
• Master the relevant management system and relevant laws and regulations implemented by this position
• Sstrong professional knowledge and management ability.
• Computer and English proficiency required for the job

MISCELLANEOUS
• Under 50 years old.
• Hold the relevant qualification certificates required by the company
