Context & Environment

The Uganda project is largely located in a highly sensitive area (Murchison Falls National Park and along the River Nile, and Lake Albert Delta Area- Ramsar Site). This delicate project poses great challenges from both a social and environmental point of view. Work is conducted under a stringent legal framework and there is considerable scrutiny both from government and civil society organizations. NGO activity is increasing, and we need to monitor and engage where possible. Strong emphasis on risk management in terms of human rights, environmental and social issues and media impacts. Multi-cultural organization and interfaces

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support to the Social & Biodiversity (NGO) Department.

Candidate Profile

TotalEnergies EP Uganda is looking at offering internship to university students in currently in the 2nd or 3rd year of study and would require a work placement as part of their course of study.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate University Degree in Development Studies, Social Studies, Sociology, Communication, Law or any other relevant field.

Selection criteria

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program from recognized National Universities
  • Must provide Introduction letter from University and copy of student I.D
  • Current academic scores must reflect a potential minimum of an upper second degree
  • Must provide a partial transcript / copy of academic scores to-date
  • Must be available full time for the duration of the internship period
  • Excellent verbal & numeracy skills and problem-solving ability
  • Good communication skills and positive attitude
  • Must write and submit an internship application letter

Duration of internship: Minimum 10 weeks from June 2026

Note: Only University Students are eligible for Internship
