The Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS), the country’s leading national humanitarian organization and a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, is implementing the Nakisawa Project in Nakiwae Refugee Settlement in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross (AHCC) and both funding from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). The project aims to address critical humanitarian needs in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI), and livelihoods.
As part of this intervention, URCS is underpinning the upgrade of the Misera Water Treatment Plan to improve its efficiency, performance, and long-term sustainability.
URCS therefore invites Sealed Bids from eligible and competent bidders for the supply and delivery of the following items:
Construction of additional Components for Misera Water Treatment Plan including Water Intake system, Back Wash System, Inspection Chambers, Suidge Finration Bed, Drainable Lattice and a Gale House in Nakiwae Refugee Settlement, listrup ID-Setrict, to be executed from January 2028
Initiation to bid documents can be packed from URCS.
Supply Chain Order in Kampala located on PUK 551555
Rubaga Road from Monday, December 1<sup>st</sup>, 2025 to Tuesday December 18<sup>th</sup>, 2025.
Interested Bidders shall pick the Initiation to bid document from Supply Chain Department after payment of a Non-refundable fee of UGC: $50,000+ – The payment made shall be cash, payable at the Uganda Red Cross Society Cash Office.
Bidders who participated in the previous procurement process are highly encouraged to re-supply and will receive the bidding documents for cost.
Eligible Bidders must have:
Registration/Certificate of Incorporation, Income Tax Clearance addresses to URCS, VAT registration Certificate, 2025 Trading Units.
Company Profile with clear memorandum and articles of association and clear company management set up
Evidence of 5 completed projects of similar supplies / Works in the last 5 years
Audited books of accounts for the last three financial years.

Supply Chain Management Office within the period indicated above.
Big submission mode. One envelope submission method system will be used where the bidders are expected to submit one envelope (technical Combatnet with Financial TAB security, bid validity period, terms of payment, Book, and the detailed award/evaluation criteria are fully provided in the bidding documents)
Bidding documents shall be submitted in sealed Envelopes clearly marked “OFFER TO UNDERTAKE CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS FOR MISERA WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND MISERA REFUGEE SETTLEMENT, ISINGHRO DISTRICT,” and addressed by, The Secretary General, Uganda Red Cross Society-Alteriton
