Background

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale

Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a public-benefit German company with worldwide operations in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ-PREEEP plans to rehabilitate failed energy systems in thirteen social institutions as one of the measures of improving access to clean energy. GIZ-PREEEP therefore invites bids from competent and eligible companies to supply and install solar PV systems and components in thirteen social institutions (sis) in northern Uganda GIZ.

Main Objective

The objective of this assignment is to hire a company to supply and install the required Solar PV system(s) and components at the respective social institutions as per the required specifications across the different Social Institutions.

Eligibility criteria

1. Registered powers of attorney authorizing signatory/ representative of the firm to sign bids/tenders on behalf of the firm.
2. Current and valid Income Tax Clearance Certificate addressed to GIZ
3. Valid Trading License
4. Delivery schedule.
5. Warranty period for (for equipment/ IT items/furniture, among others)
6. Bid Validity period (Minimum of 120 working days)
7. Only Manufacturer's Authorisation letter will be accepted.
8. Similar experience for the past (5 years). Attach at least 4 reference letters in similar, scope and value from recognised organisations).

Bids/ Offers Submission Deadline date and time Interested bidders should submit their bids/offers electronically by Thursday, 23.02.2023 at 4.00pm (EAT) to UG_Quotation@giz.de  indicating in the subject the tender reference number "91170478 Supply and Installation of solar PV systems for Rehabilitation of Energy systems in thirteen social institutions (sis) in northern Uganda"

Failure to indicate the tender reference number in the subject may disqualify your offer directly as it may fail to be received in the tender box.

1. Late submissions will not be accepted!

2. Bids submitted with GIZ staff or other GIZ emails in copy shall be rejected.

3. Only bids submitted to UG_Quotation@giz.de  are acceptable.

4. You should have offers in PDF and zip folders.

5. Only filetransfer for submission of documents exceeding the default mail size of 30 MB should be used or use two separate emails one submitting the eligibility documents, a second one submitting the offer.

6. Failure to follow the above instruction may lead your offer to be encrypted and not be accepted.

GIZ remains with full rights to cancel this process at any stage without informing providers and at no cost refund to the providers who participate in this tender process.
