Job Summary:
G4S/Allied Universal is the largest Security organization in the world operating in more than 90 countries with more than 800,000 employees world-wide. The country office in Uganda is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Uganda. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our large workforce, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring timely payment of salaries, benefits, and deductions.
2. Payroll Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee data, benefits, and deductions.
3. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws, labor laws, and company policies.
4. Payroll Reporting: Prepare and submit payroll reports, including statutory reports, to relevant authorities and management.
5. Employee Queries: Respond to employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in payroll management in a busy global organization with a large workforce.
- Skills:- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in payroll management (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional) are an added advantage.
