Thriving Learners Institute (TLI) provides programs and activities dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty among women and young people in Uganda and Africa in general. TLI programming is designed to a) empower young people to acquire market-relevant knowledge and skills through accredited online learning and women to utilize practical skills training to strengthen entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities, b) connect learners to professional networks and mentors, and c) create opportunities for learners to use their academic and professional accomplishments to support and give back to their communities. Our mission is to empower life-long learners with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to thrive.

Position Overview:
Thriving Learners Institute seeks an energetic, diligent, self-motivated, and articulate team player to join its team as a part-time photographer and videographer. The photographer and videographer will help us capture our organization’s stories, programs, and beneficiaries. The ideal candidate will have a passion for photography and videography and a strong understanding of composition, lighting, and editing both photos and videos. He or she will be responsible for shooting and editing photos and videos for various projects, including project launches, beneficiary testimonials, and events. The most successful candidate will be able to tell a story through their work, with a focus on emotion and connection.
The candidate will be part-time committing to travel to Masaka and Mityana 2-3 days per week.

Remunerations and compensations:
This is a part-time job; payment will be determined according to experience and performance.
