PRE-QUALIFICATION OF SUPPLIERS OF GOODS AND SERVICES 2026 - 2029

Light for the World, is a global disability and development organization aiming to contribute to an inclusive society where no one is left behind. Over the last three decades, we improved health systems, enabled education for all, and amplified the voices of people with disabilities. In Uganda, the organization focuses on enabling crucial inclusive eye health services, inclusive education, and economic empowerment for persons with disabilities.

Light for the World (LfW) is in the process of prequalifying competent firms/providers to provide the following goods, services and works. LfTW invites suitably qualified firms to make sealed pre-qualification submissions for:

A. SUPPLIERS

B. SERVICES

Instructions to Prospective Bidders:

1. Please note that there are no bid reference documents from Light for the World aside from what is detailed here-under and no fee is charged for this pre-qualification exercise.

2. Include a price list for all items you offer valid for six to twelve months for each item in the category applied for, clarifying the brand(s) and packing specifications.

3. Interested companies must include the following key documents within their submissions:

   • Company Registration Certificate

   • Postal Address and Physical location of the company and telephone contact

   • Tax registration, valid tax clearance certificate (addressed to Light for the World International) and current trading license

   • Company profile with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar assignment(s): with evidence of approved purchase orders or contracts

   • Client list

   • Two reference letters for similar assignments from reputable firms.

4. Bid Submission: Interested and competent firms/companies are invited to submit their applications in sealed envelopes MARKED CLEARLY WITH THE CATEGORY OF BID to the address below not later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 04, 2026. Each Bid Category requires its own submission. Persons with disabilities with eligible companies are encouraged to apply.

   Late submissions shall not be considered.
