Uganda Batteries Limited (UBL), an indigenous battery manufacturer in Uganda is looking for an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function and ensure the business has the materials, products and services it needs to operate efficiently and grow.
Responsibilities or duties
- Lead end-to-end procurement and procurement planning.
- Manage supplier sourcing, evaluation and negotiations.
- Drive cost optimisation, quality and supplier performance.
- Oversee inventory requirements, imports and logistics coordination.
- Ensure procurement compliance and timely reporting.
- Partner with Production, Finance and Operations to support business continuity.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- CIPS Professional Diploma in Procurement & Supply or equivalent.
Experience needed
- 6+ years' relevant experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.

- Strong negotiation, supplier management and cost-management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
