Job Summary:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing quality goods, materials, and services at the best possible cost. This role ensures that the organization maintains optimal inventory levels while fostering ethical, long-term relationships with reliable suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors and suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders (POs) in a timely manner.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery; resolve shipping discrepancies or damaged goods with suppliers.
• Conduct regular market research to stay updated on product availability, pricing trends, and new suppliers.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, budget limits, and legal regulations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, invoices, and delivery notes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying.
• Certification (e.g., CIPS, CPP) is a plus.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office.
