Background

Feed the Future Inclusive Agricultural Markets Activity (FTF IAM) is partnering with the Agro Consortium (U) Limited (AIC) to deepen last mile insurance uptake through collaboration with FinTech companies, financial institutions, and agribusinesses such as input suppliers and off-takers working with large networks of smallholder farmers. The learning from this collaboration should enable AIC to adapt and market suitable agricultural insurance products such as Area Yield Index Insurance (AYII) as embedded services to SHFS and reach a more sustainable market scale. The partnership will aim at increasing incomes and building smallholder farmers' resilience through protecting them against on farm losses (such as, harvest losses/destruction and death of livestock, etc.).

FtF IAM seeks the services of a consultancy firm/Individual to support the AIC improve its agro insurance policy administration processes and agriculture insurance marketing/business management

COVID-19: DAI is requiring all staff to be vaccinated for COVID-19 if they wish to access DAI offices; participate in in- person meetings with staff, customers, or stakeholders; or travel on DAI business.

Location of assignment:

Kampala with required travel to FtF IAM's partners business locations in their areas of operation.

Period of Performance: July 2023 through February 2024
