The Consortium for enhancing University Responsiveness to Agribusiness Development (CURAD) Limited is a public-private partnership initiative promoted by Makerere University, the National Union of Coffee Agribusinesses and Farm Enterprises Limited (NUCAFE), and National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO)

CURAD is part of a consortium implementing a S-year project led by Heifer Project Interasional in partnership with Master card Foundation under its program the Young Africa Works. The project seeks to improve socio-economic wellbeing and in the Busoga sub- region by 2021

CURAD is looking for a person to take up the position of the SAVE Project Manager support CURAD with the project management.

Function:
The project manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the program strategy, oversee program activities to achieve goals, lead and evaluate other project staff. He she shall help to develop and control deadlines budgets, and activities with other senior CURAD staff. Responsible for change management and risk Documenting program progress and performance representation, and formulation of M&E frames

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning and Management (65%)
• Accountable for ensuring that all project activities are implemented effectively and efficiently

Monitoring Evaluation and Leaming (20%)
• Establish a mechanism for continuous follow up monitoring and memoring of 4400 enterprises from incubation to growth.
• Ensure uniform understanding and practice in planning reporting, monitoring. and evaluation of SAVE project that are in line with CURAD internal frameworks and donor quidelines

People Management (10%)
• a motivated team by providing guidelines through mentoring and coaching as and when
• Partnership development and compliance

Relevant advanced academio qualification in
• Agriculture (Agriculture Ag. Boonomics) or related field. A post graduate qualification in project management is added advantage Over 10 years of relevant and progressive experience in agriculture service delivery including at least 7 years in a management role
• Proven abilities in managing large scale and complex development projects in Agribusiness with value addition value addition/ agro processing as well as agri-enterprise development
• Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation aspet of a project
• Has managerial experience of not less than 10 years with professional teams, integrating and Most Critical Proficiencies
• Knowledge and understanding of the international development context and trends of agriculture
• sector
• Excellent social and networking skill as well as interpersonal and influencing skills to engage with governments, donors, the private sector and civility
