JOB DETAILS:
JOB SUMMARY
To provide technical support to the senior protection engineer in implementing/realizing the Key Results Areas below.

KEY RESULT AREAS
• Periodic testing and maintenance of protection and energy metering systems countrywide
• Site acceptance testing and commissioning of Greenfield protection
• Relay coordination
• Analyze relay coordination mal-operations as they occur.
• Adjust relay settings as need may arise to ensure proper co-ordination at all time ➢ Modify protection schemes to suit new power system expansions as they arise.
• Meter reading and delivery of energy bills
• Supervise installation, maintenance, and commissioning of energy meters at all commercial boundaries

THE PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
• A bachelors’ degree with honours in Electrical engineering from a recognized institution. ➢ A minimum of 2 years’ experience in power systems and operations environment.
• Good interpersonal skills, Analytical skills, integrity, motivation, commitment, teamwork, Computer skills.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND REMUNERATION
The holder of this position will be offered a contract subject to the Ministry of Public Service Guidelines on the rationalization Exercise of Government Institutions.
