Invitation To Submit Bids/ Proposals Under Framework Contracts To Pibid/Birdc For A Period Of 3 Years Open Domestic Bidding Date Of Publication: 7 December 2023
1. The Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development (PIBID) whose successor entity is Banana Research Development Centre (BIRDC) has allocated/ received funds from Government of Uganda to be used for the acquisition of supplies and services.
2. The Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development (PIBID)/BIRDC invites sealed bids/ proposals from eligible providers under framework arrangement for a period of 3 years for the following services:
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda's Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all eligible bidders/ providers from Uganda.
4. Interested eligible bidders/providers may obtain further information from Procurement and Disposal Unit of the Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development/Banana Research Development Centre ((PIBID/ BIRDC) and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at
7(a) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EAT during working days.
5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be picked from the PIBID/BIRDC Procurement Office by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 7(a).
6. Proposals must be delivered to the address below at 7(a) at or before 4th January 2024 at 11:00 a.m. East African Standard Time. A Bid security or Bid Securing Declaration as indicated in the table above must accompany all bids/ proposals for supplies/services. Late bids/proposals shall be rejected. Bids/Proposals will be opened in the presence of the bidders'/providers representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7(a) at 12:00 p.m. on 4th January 2024 in the PIBID Conference Room.
7. (a) The bidding documents may be inspected at Procurement and Disposal Unit, Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development/Banana Research Development Centre ((PIBID/BIRDC) Project, Plot 26A, Lumumba Avenue, P.O. Box 35747, Kampala, Uganda.
(b) The bidding documents will be issued from: as 7 (a) or electronically on provided Email.
(c) Address of Bids must be delivered to: as 7 (a)
(d) Address of Bid Opening: as 7 (a) - PIBID Conference Room.
