Role Context

The post is within the service of Nakaseke District Local Government. The Public Health Dental Officer supports the delivery of dental and oral health services and contributes to the improvement of public health in the district.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental examinations, diagnosis, treatment and referral for patients.
• Promote oral health through education, prevention and community outreach.
• Support public health dental programmes and maintain appropriate patient and service records.
• Work with health facilities and community partners to improve access to dental care.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should be suitable and qualified for the post. The Job Descriptions and Persons Specifications for jobs in Local Governments (2011) and the Health Service Commission Guideline 2020 provide further information on job requirements.
