JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Building Economics; or Quantity Surveying from a recognized University / Institution.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Quantity Surveyor for performing the following duties:-
• Providing technical support in the preparation, analysis or checking quantities for Government building works;
• Participating in construction site meetings and preparing progress reports;
• Researching on and reporting on the implementation of housing policies, laws and standards and regulations that relate to quantity surveying;
• Collecting and submitting information to the Senior Quantity Surveyor for certifying payment certificates;
• Collecting data for updating construction price indices and developing unit rates on housing and building projects;
• Preparing draft Terms of Reference for engagement of Consultants by Government;
• Participating in organizing and implementing training programmes and activities for Local Governments and other stakeholders on matters regarding or incidental to electrical engineering and installation;
• Drafting workplans and budgets for the electrical engineering and installation function in the Division;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
