About the Role
Lafab Solutions is looking for a Recruitment Trainee to support our recruitment team in sourcing, screening and shortlisting candidates for client vacancies.
The successful candidate will help turn client job requirements into qualified and well-matched candidates by using our candidate database, job platforms and recruitment systems.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, good at research and interested in building a career in recruitment and talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Review job descriptions and understand client recruitment requirements.
- Identify essential qualifications, skills and experience for each vacancy.
- Search the candidate database for suitable candidates.
- Source additional candidates through approved job platforms, referrals and professional networks.
- Review CVs and candidate profiles.
- Screen candidates against job requirements.
- Contact candidates to confirm interest, availability, experience and other relevant information.
- Prepare focused and relevant candidate shortlists.
- Highlight candidate strengths and any important gaps or concerns.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the recruitment system.
- Track candidates through the recruitment process.
- Coordinate interviews and candidate follow-ups.
- Record interview outcomes and client feedback.
- Support reference checks and other recruitment activities where required.
- Maintain professional communication with candidates and clients.
- Ensure confidential candidate and client information is handled appropriately.
- Complete recruitment tasks and follow-ups within required timelines.
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related field.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Good computer literacy and internet research skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and assess CVs effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work with databases, spreadsheets and recruitment systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Willingness to learn and follow recruitment processes.
Previous recruitment experience is an advantage but not required.
