JOB DETAILS:

Duty Station: Kampala
Remuneration: T3 according to Tamani Scale Contract
Type: Renewable
Contract Period: 3 Years
Reports to: Director of Operations

Role:
Provide leadership in consulting department in the designing, analyzing, developing and implementing relevant research topics for benefit of conservation business model for management of research and disseminate the research ideologies to target entities

Duties
1. Identity research areas or gaps within the biodiversity management that can be undertaken by the company to promote the company ecotourism ideology
2. Conduct elaborate planning and strategizing for the implementation of a target research project, work with management to mobilize financial resources, human resources and right equipment for the projects
3. Design, develop and implement a working research and consulting policy that guides the systematic implementation of research projects from time to time
4. Design, develop and implement a working systematic model for information dissemination to target entities.
5. Promote research collaboration with local, regional and international entities to create a health collaboration relationship that benefit and promotes the company vision and mission.
6. Disseminate the research ideologies to public, key stakeholders, shareholders and partners in a manner that promotes the company philosophy
7. Aggressively push for the integration of company research techniques and ideologies to target entities
8. Ensure that all company research projects practices and implementation activities are in line with local, regional and international standard protocols
9. Manage intellectual property procedures for the company’s research finding, to protect the integrity of the company’s innovation
10. Manage information from research findings, share and report internally and prepare information for literature review.

Qualifications
1. MSC, Degree in Zoology, botany, conservation biology.
2. 5 years’ experience as a researcher or study leader.
3. Knowledge of relevant research techniques and computer software
4. Impeccable writing, organizational skills, leadership skills.
