OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role is responsible for overseeing the Further Processed (FP) Products category in terms of sales, debt management, customer relationships and market growth initiatives to ensure the Yo-Kuku brand remains strong and value is continuously delivered to the customer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and manage the execution of the FP sales strategy in line with the assigned regions and customer engagement levels. This will involve the generation of sales forecasts and execution of the initiatives to achieve forecast targets.

2. Manage debts incurred during sales with an agreeable number of debtor days through the implementation of debt management initiatives as per the Yo Kuku and customer agreement.

3. Drive growth and profitability through the implementation of market development strategies into new untapped market segments; and market penetration strategies that strengthen Yo-Kuku's presence in existing markets.

4. Oversee the development and execution of the trade coverage plan and the marketing & distribution strategies for the region.

5. Coordinate the development of regional demand planning by trade area and territory.

6. Oversee the preparation of daily, weekly and quarterly reports and generate insightful recommendations to aid in decision making.

7. Lead market intelligence initiatives and develop clear action plans for business performance improvement, route-to-market strategies and field sales force effectiveness.

8. Collaborate with marketing in sales, promotional and merchandising activities.

9. Enforce compliance with the Company's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

10. Lead, manage and develop a high performing team.

CANDIDATES PROFILE

a. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Commerce, Marketing or any related field from an accredited institution.

b. Minimum 5 years' work experience in the FMCG industry; of which 2 years managing people.

c. Proven ability and experience in managing and leading high-performance sales teams.

d. Sound understanding of international food safety standards

e. Experience using a CRM is an added advantage

f. Proficiency in MS-Word, MS- PowerPoint and MS-Excel for business analysis.

g. Demonstrable commercial awareness.

h. International commercial experience will be an added advantage.
