Key Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Design scientific and technological projects for implementation by UNCST;
b. Facilitate the carrying out of pilot projects and demonstrations of new technologies or innovations;
c. Coordinate intellectual property and commercialization advisory services of the UNCST;
d. Build synergies with the regional centers of excellence in the development of regional STI technology transfer systems;
e. Provide intellectual property and commercialization support to upcoming program portfolios in different STI strategic fields;
f. Work closely with STI-based institutions to support appropriate technology management services and technology transfer systems;
g. Maintain an up-to-date inventory and profile of local technologies and innovations with viable commercial value;
h. Perform any other UNCST tasks as necessary and as may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
▪ A bachelor’s degree (Hons) in bio-systems, industrial or agricultural engineering or a closely similar field
▪ Post graduate training in technopreneurship, technology or intellectual property management is added advantage
▪ High level of confidence in relating with S&T stakeholders;
▪ Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with stakeholders and partners;
▪ Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
▪ Proven good reporting and writing skills;
▪ A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar field; ▪ Age: not more than 35 years.
