Dimension
Within the Tilenga (Upstream) geosciences team, assistance is required during the development of the TILENGA field.

Activities
The Senior Geologist interacts with the rest of the multi-disciplinary GSR team (Operation Geologists, Petrophysicists, Geophysicists, Geologist, Reservoir Engineers) during the preparation and follow-up of the project’s execution. The main activities will include:
• Responsible for providing the geological inputs of Well SORs in close collaboration with the geophysicists, reservoir engineers, Operation Geology & drilling teams (objectives, well trajectory, target box, section TD criteria, data acquisition).
• During drilling operations, responsible for providing and communicating (within the GSR team and to the D&W team) the most appropriate geological interpretations and participate in the decision-making progress to safely deliver the wells and achieve their objectives (Markers interpretation, stratigraphical interpretation, lithological assessment...).
• Responsible of the quality & pertinence of the geological data, interpretation, and studies. Validate the geological information and interpretation used for wells preparation. Apply the best practice in managing these data, together with the Geoinformation team.
• Responsible for the wells’ results integration during the development drilling campaign to prepare and optimize the design other the next wells and/or pads (continuous improvement). This task could include the update of the reservoir model on-the- fly.
• Ensure the analysis, the interpretation, and the synthesis of the geological data.
• Responsible for providing pertinent and valid geological input to the documentation & reporting required by the stakeholders (JV partners, Local Authorities, affiliate, HQ)
• Propose continuous improvements on the way the team (2G) works, add value to the project by identifying new technologies (from the company or external) applicable to Tilenga.
• Contribute to the improvement of the team’s geological skills and the coaching of the geologists/geoscientists to secure the advancement of the global geological work and the technical quality of the work performed by TEPU geologists
• Promote the technical geological-related work done on Tilenga with JV partners and authorities (workshops, presentations,
documentation…)
• Responsible for identifying, scoping and following-up the geological-related studies carried by the Technical Line in HQ in collaboration with Customer Line Onshore upstream.
• Geological representative of TEPU responsible to follow up the non-operated asset (Kingfisher)

Context and environment
A Green Field Project, the Tilenga development is to be carried out in a remote location in UGANDA near Albert lake with particularly sensitive environmental conditions.
A challenging onshore project; heavy and waxy oils produced from 31 drilling pads, (with some of them located in a national park) and treated in a Production Center of 200,000bopd oil capacity and 650,000 bld of water treatment capacity. Reservoir pressure maintenance is ensured either

by water injection or by polymer water injection depending on the reservoir’s characteristics. The project also includes an extended interconnecting network with temperature preservation.
Multicultural environment: Contractors are anticipated to be located in various parts of the world. Ugandan rules and regulations, administrative requirements and technical authorizations as well as International codes for onshore plant will apply.

Accountabilities
• As the most experienced geologist in the team, provide geological support to the GSR team (20+ staffs), which also comprises Operations Geologists, asset geophysicists Petrophysicists, Reservoir engineers, Data managers and GIS specialists, during the drilling campaign of 420 wells on Tilenga (3600 MMbbl of STOIIP and 840 MMbbl base case reserves) delivered in factory mode.
• Application of the relevant geological workflows & techniques of the Company to achieve TILENGA project objectives.
• Geological activities impacting project budget related to studies, wells preparation and drilling
• Geological activities related to limit the food-print of the project activities & GHG emissions reduction
• Main key interfaces:
o TEP UG: Geology, subsurface operations and petrophysical interpretation, cap rock integrity, Geoinformation team, reservoir engineers and drilling entities
o ONE TECH Customer Lines (Onshore Upstream) and Technical Lines specialists (Geosciences & Reservoir),
o JV partners and local authorities
• Mentor the geologists/geoscientists with daily coaching and training proposition

Qualifications/Experience required
• The Service Provider must have the following experience / qualifications:
• Minimum Bsc or Msc in Geology
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as reservoir geologist with experience in: geological & structural interpretation, reservoir characterization, structural & geological modeling, uncertainty analysis, and well Integration. Exposure to well preparation activities (Well SOR), follow up of drilling wells operations, log interpretation, petrophysical synthesis & modeling, studies of overburden/Cap Rock monitoring is a plus. Fluent in English mandatory
• Demonstrated team spirit, solidarity, strong coaching & communication skills, commitment & efficiency, work in multi-disciplinary and multi- cultural teams
