Job Summary
Our client is in a Bar & Restaurant business looking for someone who will be to ensure that all restaurant operations run smoothly. The Restaurant supervisor will oversee all service staff, expedite customers’ orders as needed and maintain good relationships with suppliers. As part of the job a supervisor will be responsible for identifying ways of reducing operation costs for the outlet.

Job Responsibilities
Primary Role; be excellent at the job, a restaurant supervisor should exercise effective leadership, management skills and take disciplinary action to address poor staff performance.
Overall, a top performing outlet supervisor should be able to achieve exceptional customer service and ensure that customers have a pleasant restaurant experience.

Screening, interviewing, hiring and training team members.
• Managing team members work schedules
• Conducting regular inspections of the restaurant kitchen to determine whether proper standards of hygiene, health and safety are being followed.
• Overseeing food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulation.
• Checking in on dining customers to enquire about food quality and service
• Monitoring inventory and ensuring that all food supplies and other restaurant essentials are adequately stocked.
• Monitoring outlet sales and making sure outstanding bills are settled and tills are counted and balanced off
• Registering customer feedback to develop and implement ways to improve customer service
• Resolving customer problems with the highest standard of professionalism

Restaurant supervisor requirements
• High learning diploma or the equivalent
• A degree is advantageous or its equivalent in experience
• Proven track record working as a supervisor in the hospitality industry
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment
• The ability to stand for long periods
• Strong leadership skills
• Effective communication skills
• Effective customer service/relations management skills
