JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose

Maintain functioning and safe drainage systems with in the University

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Repair septic tanks, sewer lines or drains;
• Patch walls and partitions of tank;
• Replace damaged drain tile and repairs in underground piping;
• Withdraws cable to deposit accumulated residue removed from pipe in containers for disposal;
• Observes residue for evidence of mud, indicating broken sewer line and repairs accordingly;
• Dig out ruptured line and shallow sewers;
• Remove and replace broken tile section or pipe, using caulking compound and cement to form watertight joint;
• Replace or directs replacement of soil materials;
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Certificate in Plumbing

Skills/Competences

4. Customer service skills.
