ABOUT US
Taifa Gas Limited is a leading Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cooking gas company dedicated to providing clean, safe, and affordable cooking energy solutions across East and Central Africa. As we expand our footprint in Uganda, we are looking for a vibrant, trustworthy, and organized Shop Attendant to manage our retail outlet and stock operations in Gayaza.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Shop Attendant, you will be the face of Taifa Gas in Gayaza. Your daily duties will include:
- Inventory & Stock Management: Tracking the movement of full and empty LPG cylinders, receiving new Stock, and matching stock counts against daily sales.
- Customer Service: Welcoming customers, assisting them with gas purchases, cylinder exchanges, and answering inquiries about our products and safety practices.
- Sales & Cash Management: Issuing receipts, and reconciling daily sales records accurately
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring the shop operates under strict health, safety, and environment (HSE) guidelines for handling and storing LPG products.
- Shop keeping: Maintaining a clean, organized, secure, and presentable shop environment at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or a Diploma in any field from a recognized institution.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or retail store bookkeeping is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer care, or cash handling is an added advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for tracking stock discrepancies.
- Basic numerical proficiency for managing sales balances and inventory ledgers.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with standard point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory software, or basic computer applications (MS Excel/Word).
Location: Candidates residing in or near Gayaza are highly encouraged to apply.
