JOB DETAILS:
As a Student Pathways Advisor committed to Christian values, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students through their educational journey by offering compassionate support and holistic guidance. You will assist students in identifying their academic and career paths within the context of their faith, helping them integrate spiritual principles into their decision-making process. This position requires a deep understanding of Christian values, strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to empower students to fulfill their God-given potential. You will also need a deep understanding of educational opportunities and requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
• Administrate Amazima’s career guidance programmes.
• Assist students in exploring different educational pathways, including degree programs, certificates, and vocational training.
• Guide students in navigating academic requirements, course selection, and registration processes.
• Conduct assessments to understand students’ spiritual gifts talents and calling, helping them identify how they can best serve God through their educational and career pursuits making sure that interests, strengths, and areas for development, align.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement support programs for students.
• Stay updated on educational trends, industry developments, and career opportunities to provide relevant advice to students.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress towards their goals.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance advising skills and knowledge.
• Serve as a liaison between students and academic departments, campus resources, and external organizations.
• Offer mentorship and prayer support for students facing challenges or seeking guidance in their spiritual and academic journey.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to explore their faith and academic interests.
• Serve as a positive role model and ambassador of Christian values, demonstrating love, grace, and compassion in all interactions with students and colleagues.
• Coordinate Careers Development Programme in Secondary

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in either Education, Business, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field.
• Active involvement in a Christian faith community and a personal commitment to Christian values
• Previous experience in academic advising, counseling, or student services.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations.
• Ability to integrate faith into advising practices while respecting the believes and values of each student strong understanding of educational pathways, career exploration, and academic requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• Familiarity with student information systems and advising software is a plus.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in student advising.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and student needs.
• Passion for promoting student success and contributing to a supportive campus community.
• Ability to run programmes.
