Terms of Reference for Consultancy for Advanced Excel Training (RTV/HR/Ug/2023)
PURPOSE OF CONSULTANCY
The primary objective of the consultancy is to equip staff with advanced and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills to enhance their reporting and data management ability.
Specific Objectives include:
• To perform statistical modeling in Excel.
• To apply forecasting and prediction concepts using historical data in Excel.
• To be able to make Pivot tables in Excel.
• To create and apply VBA and Macros concepts in Excel.
• To use Model Historical stock trends to manipulate data in Excel.
• having signed the RTV's code of SKILLS & EXPERIENCE conduct.
EXPECTED DELIVERABLES
• The consultant will be expected to:• Submit a detailed work plan for the consultancy period.
• Develop and submit a detailed training. manual and materials ensuring that they are in line with the specific objectives above.
• To conduct a face to face training on Excel with practical exercises.
• Conduct pre and post training evaluations and provide a training report.
Firm and trainer's required experience and skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Social Science Discipline or its equivalent.
• At least 5 years experience in conducting and delivering Advanced Excel programs to a Non-Profit Organization.
• Proven evidence to have successfully conducted and managed similar programs in various organizations. Have accreditation in delivering Microsoft training in Excel.
• To apply advanced excel formulas in Provide training completion certificates

To apply excel in financial data analysis and reporting to the participants.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONSULTANT
• The chosen consultant will liaise with the Procurement Department, Finance & Admin (F&A), and HR throughout the period of the consultancy.
• The consultant will be required to meet the expected deliverables listed below during the period of the consultancy.
• The consultant will conduct the training at a designated location in Kampala during the official working hours upon
• i.e. books, pens, projector, and flip chart for the training to be conducted.
• Oversee the overall development of the training materials and provide feedback on drafts submitted by the Consultant.
• Effect payments on the accomplishment of the task as per the signed contract once the deliverables met.
TIMEFRAME
This consultancy is expected to be completed within 3 Weeks. The consultant will be expected to start working July 2023. It is expected that 100% of the deliverables will be submitted before payment.
The proposal should include:
• Consultant CV including past achievements.
• Introduction letter including a brief overview of the assignment as understood by the bidder.
• Detailed itemized work plan - including timeframes for submission of drafts.
• Detailed itemized budget and price justification.
• Annexes: Any documents, such as work samples, or other information, that the consultant feels will assist the proposal review team in evaluating the proposal.
