Job Vacancy: Theatre Assistant
(Full Time)-Contract
Mbale People's Hospital, owned and supported by People's Life Care Foundation, licensed by the Ministry of Health, is seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our surgical department as a Theatre Assistant.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Prepare operation theatres before surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthetists during operations.
- Sterilize, arrange, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Monitor and restock theatre supplies.
- Assist in patient positioning and preoperative/postoperative care.
- Maintain the theatre clean all the times
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma/Certificate in Medical Theatre Technology.
- 1+ year of experience in a theatre/surgical environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and surgical procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Must be residing within the hospital locality
