Job Description
Matoke Tours Ltd is looking for an experienced Travel Consultant to join our team. The Travel Consultant is required to handle client inquiries (B2B & B2C), build business relationships with new and existing partners, ensure all travel arrangements are made on time and according to booking requests and handle other administrative tasks. Excellent communication skills, team spirit, accuracy and attention to detail are key to this role. This is an office-based position, but occasional short travel is required. The travel consultant reports to the Sales Manager.

Responsibilities
1. Communication:
1. Client inquiries: Ensure timely replies to all partners (B2B) and clients (B2C)
2. Maintain business relationships with partners

2. Administrative tasks:
1. Maintain and update all client files & company systems (FIT & group tours)
2. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing
3. Collaborate with other departments (Trip
4. Administration, Finance) to ensure all travel arrangements are made

3. Problem Solving:
Contact person for clients, tour guide etc. in case of any problems before and during the tour 24/7 emergency line contact for clients on the road

4. Reporting:
Reporting to the Sales Manager

5. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills & Experience
1. Degree in Hospitality/Tourism or relevant field
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the tourism industry
3. Previous experience as Travel
4. Consultant and/or in Sales
5. Good knowledge of tourism products in Uganda
6. Excellent written and spoken
7. communication skills
8. Great collaboration skills, a real team player
9. Strong organizational and planning skills
10. Precise and timely work ethics,
11. strong sense of responsibility
12. Proficient computer skills with
13. Microsoft Office- (with emphasis on Outlook and Excel)
