Roles and responsibilities
- General Management & Supervision of the Utilities department.
- Direct Reporting to the utility & facility Engineer over all issues from the section.
- Responsible for Periodic and Preventive Maintenance planning for all department Machinery in liaison with the utility & facility Engineer and oversee the plan execution.
- To oversee and coordinate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Health Practices (GHPs) within the department.
- Coordinate the team for teamwork in quick problem troubleshooting and rectification to minimize machine downtime and ensure Maximum Efficiency.
- Coordinate the team to ensure Energy Conservation to minimize costs and maximize profits.
- Coordinate the team to ensure Documentation and all department Record keeping.
- To identify the necessary trainings required by the department Staff and liaison with the utility & facility Engineer for Implementation.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or any relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
- Should be knowledgeable on high voltage systems, troubleshooting electric panels.
- Work experience in power generation with diesel generators/transformers.
- Knowledgeable on pumps, chillers, boilers and air compressors.
- Good reporting and fast escalation skills.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
