Background
Human Capital Business Solutions Ltd is hiring Vehicle Commanders (3) responsible for leading and coordinating the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) during security incidents and emergency operations. The role provides operational command, assesses incidents, determines appropriate tactical responses, and directs the deployment of response teams to ensure effective incident management. The Vehicle Commander also ensures compliance with company security procedures, coordinates with relevant stakeholders, oversees the accountability of personnel, firearms, equipment, and vehicles, prepares comprehensive incident reports, and mentors team members to maintain high standards of operational readiness, discipline, and service delivery.
Reports To
Chief Executive Officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Exercise overall command of the reaction unit
- Assess incidents and determine the appropriate tactical response.
- Direct and supervise deployment during emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with company security procedures.
- Coordinate with Police, management, fire services, and medical responders.
- Prepare incident reports following all deployments.
- Ensure firearms, equipment, and vehicles are properly accounted for.
- Mentor and supervise team members.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant service experience.
- Former Uganda Police Force (UPF) member.
- Demonstrated leadership and command ability.
- Proven operational command experience.
- Firearms handling certification and operational experience.
- Strong report-writing and communication skills.
- Minimum Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE/Senior Four).
- Between 30 and 50 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Good physical fitness.
- Good interpersonal skills.
