Job Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of Uganda Warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Inventory Management; receiving and issuing of stocks and ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained, tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare items for dispatch by assisting in loading while adhering to batch management.
- Participation in Uganda warehouse cycle counts and quarterly stock takes.
- Coordination of Uganda ABPs replenishment and timely submission of Vendor invoices to Nairobi.
- Warehouse Organization; Segregation of goods and proper housekeeping by organizing the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility.
- Safety compliance; Follow Solenis EHS safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Manager. Participate in Uganda Warehouse and office 6s activities.
- Workday linked (business related goals), aligned to mission, strategy and behaviours of Diversey.
- Mind-set change of being pro-active rather than reactive.
- Has no formal managerial responsibility, but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g. provides coaching).
SKILLS, QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES
- Graduate degree in Supply chain management.
- At least 5 years progressive warehouse management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Problem solving abilities and proactive approach to tasks.
- Experience in operating lifting equipment e.g. stacker or forklift (forklift certification) will be an added advantage.
