JOB DESCRIPTION;
We as Backbone feeds company limited are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and joining metal parts and components on a construction site. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, safety protocols, and construction practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform welding operations: Perform welding operations on metal parts and components, using various welding processes (e.g., MIG-metal inert gas welding, TIG-Tungsten inert gas welding, Arc).
2. Read and interpret blueprints: Read and interpret welding blue prints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure compliance with design plans.
3. Ensure quality welds: Ensure high-quality welds that meet project specifications and standards.
4. Maintain welding equipment: Maintain welding equipment and tools, including performing routine maintenance and repairs.
5. Ensure safety compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
6. Collaborate with other trades: Collaborate with other tradespeople, including fitters, riggers, and construction workers.
Requirements/qualification;
1. Welding certification from a recognized institution or equivalent experience.
2. Experience in welding, preferably in a construction or manufacturing setting.
3. Strong knowledge of welding techniques: Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Arc).
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints: Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
5. Physical ability: Ability to work in cramped spaces, lift heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
6. Good communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with other stakeholders and supervisors.
