JOB DETAILS:

Background

Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) is established by the Uganda Heart Institute Act CAP 258 as an Autonomous Government Entity to undertake and coordinate the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease in Uganda. UHI intends to recruit competent people in various departments, to enhance its human resource capacity and support the effective delivery of specialised cardiovascular services.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for maintenance and repairing various facilities to enable optimal functioning and safety and contributing to the smooth operation of the hospital's infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical knowledge and analytical skills to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Conduct safety inspections to promote compliance with relevant safety regulations.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, share information, and collaborate with other departments and staff.
• Participate in training programs for equipment users and technicians.

Person/ Job Specifications:

• A Diploma in civil engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience:

Experience in civil engineering will be added advantage.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: associate degree
